Getting Started

1. Allow Location - When prompted, allow Ultreia to access your location to show where you are on the map
2. Explore the Map - Pan and zoom to see the Camino route and nearby amenities
3. Tap Markers - Tap on fountain markers to see details about water sources

Map Controls

• Pinch - Zoom in and out
• Two-finger rotate - Rotate the map
• Compass - Tap to reset north orientation
• Location button - Center map on your current location

Leaf and Shell

Leaf & Shell is out own database of vegan and vegetarian options on the Camino. For a few years, two great resources existed, their fliers are still available as PDF on the Internet. Sadly, however, both ceased operating in 2021 during the pandemic.

By listing restaurants, albergue, and food cart options, we hope to make your Camino as fun and stress free as possible.

Layer Bar

The bottom bar lets you switch between different types of points of interest:

• Water cup - Drinking fountains
• Bed - Albergues (pilgrim hostels) - coming soon
• Church - Points of interest - coming soon
• Leaf & Shell - Vegan/vegetarian restaurants - coming soon

Offline Use

Ultreia works offline once you've loaded the map tiles:

1. While online, pan around the areas you'll be walking
2. The map tiles are automatically cached
3. When offline, cached areas will still display

Troubleshooting

Map not loading?

• Check your internet connection
• Try "Clear Cache" in the menu, then reload

Location not working?

• Ensure location permissions are enabled in your device settings
• Try moving to an area with better GPS signal
