We care about your (as much as our) privacy. This app isn't tracking you, looking over your shoulder, collecting or selling your data... nothing. Just as in our slogan:

Data Used to Track You:

• None. The app does not track users across apps or websites.

Data Linked to Your Identity:

• Optional Trail Name (User-Provided):
  • Used only for user-generated content (comments, ratings, updates)
  • Can be removed by emailing renovals@camino.now
  • Not required for app functionality

Data Not Linked to Your Identity:

• Location Data

  • Used to show nearby points of interest, fountains, and albergues
  • Used for navigation and distance calculations
  • Sent to us anonymously, not collected
  • Required for core app functionality
  • Can be disabled in device settings

• Photos (functionality not yet implemented on app, can be accessed via web by tusted users)

  • Used to upload images of accommodations, POIs, and towns
  • Optionally shared with the community
  • Can be disabled in device settings (when enabled, not available right now)

• Camera (not implemented, yet)

  • Used to take photos for uploading to the app
  • Can be disabled in device settings
  • Upload anonymously, not linked to user. Can optionally carry a credit in form of a trail name.
